The SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins and the International Republican Institute (IRI) wrote this report to examine whether young people are turning toward authoritarianism as a valid and potentially preferred form of government, and its potential ramifications. Democracy Moves and Generation Democracy members assisted in making this report possible, including providing qualitative data information through surveys and interviews

with young people. The findings of the report shall form the basis of the conversation.
