NDI will host a 2-hour roundtable discussion highlighting innovative ways to better engage

young people who have been traditionally excluded from politics. For the first part of the event,

speakers from various backgrounds and development sectors will give lightning talks that

showcase program examples and considerations for engaging traditionally excluded young

people in politics. The lightning talks will also discuss how the engagement of traditionally

excluded young people can strengthen democracy more broadly. Following the lightning talks,

participants will brainstorm strategies to strengthen inclusion across sectors and create more

representative youth movements.
